What types of creatures flee from AoE?
First off, this is not about melee versus ranged, as I'm well aware of that factor.
My question stems from the fact that I was testing Narutoscryed's "New age" monk farmer, and tested on Jade Brotherhood, Avicara, and Mountain Trolls just to see if it worked correctly. Now, the Trolls scatter at about half health and killing them takes a while, as per the AI change. I noticed, however, that the Avicara Braves and the Jade Brotherhood Knights did not flee from SoJ no matter what level their health was at. I've done it several more times and those two melee "species" do not seem to ever flee from my SoJ damage.
This brought up the question in my mind, "What other types of creatures (melee) don't flee from this, as they're expected to do?"
If there's already a thread on this...I apologize, the search didn't find anything relevant when I tried.
Has anyone else noticed this in other creatures?

That would make sense from what I saw...although that's completely illogical.

The way the A.I. works, according to what I have seen and read, is that they will run once they reach under 50% HP.
That being the case, they will stay in AoE range for the majority of the spell, but run before they die. This is why you employ a snare of some type.

Well thats what ppl say it shall be , but i can say its completely wrong.
I cant say where , because i dont want to tell my farming places , but especially in cantha there are still many mobs that keep slaying me until they are dead without running or any break.
(god save the shield of judgement :P )
But what i can say from my expirience is:
Melee , Monks and Mesmers nearly always run when <50% health.

...Might wanna rethink the logic around the coding.
Nightfall created a class that hits 3 targets with a regular attack (at optimum).
Under IAS this would trigger AoE scatter.
This would mean that dervishes would be less desired on teams than 'sins.
Thus the mob size coding.
...starting to see the logic behind it?
Ranged Mobs do not flee. Melee mobs with a size greater than 3 flee.
It's not about *what* they are, it's about the size. There's like 5-6 threads on the scatter AI in this section.

I apologize for ignorance. I wasn't taking the Dervish into consideration.
I got my answer, thank you.
